I rather have my heart broken than my dreams crushed.

…because love will never stop finding it’s way, but it’s rare that a dream could be repaired and replaced by a different kind of passion.

Entertainment & Arts Career, is it really enough?

I’d hate to live that pay check to pay check life. Barely getting by, living with “just enough” money, just enough to put food on the table, to have a home, just enough to support a family.

With this thought in my head, it forces me to change my future career(s). I know many people who want to live as a musician, a graphic designer, or a dancer but then I think to myself “Is that really enough to bring basic necessities AND leisure items?” It is most definitely possible to have a career in the entertainment and arts industry but you have to be the best of the best to make it.

Not to crush anybody’s dreams (including my own) but that type of industry is a extremely competitive one. And unless you’re the next big thing or have the next greatest designs, then it may only offer just enough money to survive.

See that’s the thing, I don’t want “Just enough”. I don’t want to have to worry about getting to the next pay check to pay off my bills, buy food, and what not. I want to be able to have more than enough money to bring my children and myself pleasurable items

In a nutshell, I either have to find a new passion/career or be the next big thing. And I’m going for being the next big thing but I just want to have a safety net if all else fails.

I’ve got these visions that I know will develop sometime in my life. Though others, if not many doubt me, that just makes me even more determined and compelled to obtain these visions and dreams.

With all the goals I’m aiming for,

plans I have planned,

and dreams I have to reach,

there is no time to be

emotionally attached

and have that risk of getting hurt.

You know that epiphany where you know for sure, no doubt about it - that a particular thought of yours is going to come true? And you’re so sure that you’d bet your life on it and prove everyone who thinks otherwise wrong.

Well that’s how I feel about my big dreams and passions. I know someday, everything will pay off and sky rocket.

NYC is so sartorial.

I have a very keen eye for fashion and the production of high class clothes. That’s a big portion as to why I’d love to live in the east coast. NYC is such a chic area.

The style over there is breathtaking. All those underground clothing brands, leather crafted stores, fashionistas, fashion show cases, i could go on and on.

One day, I’ll have one of my own little brands of high quality material on the east coast.

I’ve always envisioned myself as the business type of gal.

Dressed all spiffy, persuading people, negotiating, socializing, associating myself with the big dogs, being important, working with papers, flying on business class on airplanes and banking all of that moolah.

Typical dream of a (almost) 16 year old? I think not.

As cliche as it sounds, I’d still very much love to talk about my dreams and ambitions with someone who is capable of holding my heart. (In the most non corny way)

I have so many ideas that can’t fit into one human brain alone, really you have no idea. I’m tired of keeping it all in but I can make do for the time being.

And one day I’d want to be able to share those dreams with someone. They’ll be there as a guidance, a little push and motivation. They would give me honest feedback and tell me how proud they are or something along those lines.

See, dreams to me are very special. (Sort of like keeping my virginity lol) I don’t go around telling people what I want to do in life.

Dreams and sex are sacred to me lul~

If you automatically make someone’s dreams come true then what? The excitement is gone. Dreams are what keeps a person going, it gives motivation, a vision, something for one to work towards.

See, when you give us dogs that bone, we have nothing left to do after we eat it. That’s exactly why we lose interst in things the second we have them after wanting it for only a short period of time.

Dreams and aspirations.

I’ve never told anyone about what I want out of life in detail.

Every time someone would ask me what I want to do when I’m on my own I’d respond with a *shrug* followed with an “I don’t know.” when really, I know almost exactly what I want to do and how to get there.

It’s just that I have so much in mind nobody could possibly survive listening to what I have to say about my goals and dreams in life.

This can’t get anymore cliche.

But I’ve always pictured myself in my late 20’s when I’ll be residing in the east coast taking taxi’s and subways every morning to work. I’d get pick up some coffee before I head out of my two-person apartment.

Around that time I wouldn’t expect to be married yet, no kids. Just me and a man who can support me with my dreams. It may or may not be serious but if we’re living together that means we’re thinking about something more in the future.

My daily routine would basically be, get ready for work, grab some coffee, get to work, then have a night part-time job performing at the local jazz club or something. Grab some grub with my boyfriend then head home at around 11pm then repeat.

I’d only want that to go on for a few years because I know I’ll end up settling back home in California.
